Your message, and the uncertainty expressed in the responses, drives home the point that we really have not seen many of these lately.
Seems to me that we saw several of our "regulars" acquiring these watches a couple of years ago, but it has been quiet since then. Back then, $5,000 to $7,000 seemed like the going rate for a decent/ nice one . . . difficult to say where we are now. The "melt value" of the watch has certainly risen, but that's not a real factor in the pricing, though it may have some psychological relevance.
Here's mine . . . I do hope that you will join the club!!

: Can anyone give me any guidance on a reasonable price for this
: watch - I have been offered one in decent condition without an
: original strap but I havent really got a clue on its value. I
: know the price the Haslinger one went for but im rather hoping
: that was a somewhat freak price given the circumstances.
: I want to offer a fair price for it but havent much idea where to
: start & I dont think the current price guide on OTD is up to
: date?
: Thanks folks.
