Bad news, about Andrea

hello Guys

I have been asked to post on this forum some bad news. Andrea Manetti (nick "Andrea" on this forum, "Gualdimaris" on the italian "O&P" forum) died on the 14th January. We still do not know how it happened, I just thought that his fellow forumners here should be warned to spend a minute in his memory.

Best wishes

Franco

Now I'm confused... If Andrea passed on 14 January, how come he posted as recently as 8 February:

and nearly 10 times since 14 January?

The only thing I can think of is perhaps he passed away since his last post above, perhaps on 14 February...

In any instance, I am very sorry to hear that he passed (assuming he has). I don't recall anything but interested & interesting posts by him. I've often said that I've found that along with the Japanese, the Italian's are the most passionate of Chronograph collectors. Much more so, in my opinion, than even the German, Dutch, Brits, Yanks, Aussies, Canadian's, French, Kiwi's, etc. and even the Swiss! I feel honored that Andrea chose to spend some of his time sharing his passion and enthusiasm with us here on the OTD Heuer Forum.

He will be missed. He, his family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

-- Chuck
