Shaun:

Yours is a beauty . . . no doubt about it.

The details in the 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder seem to be the telltales of a refinished dial.

  • Notice the hash-lines in the 30-minute recorder -- some longer and some shorter; some darker and some lighter.

  • Notice the numerals in the 12-hour recorder; the amazing detail in the "3", "6", "9" and "12"

These details seem to be beyond the ability of even the most highly-skilled dial refinishers, so they help us spot the refinished dials and the fakes.

Can other readers send or post high-resolution photos of their Carrera 12 Datos (or the Zodiac or Clebar equivalents)?

Jeff
