Had a Red One . . . Sold It . . . Miss It
In Response To: What A Coincidence no. 2 ()

There is much discussion of the Red (vs) Blue (vs) Fume issue, for the Silverstone enthusiasts.

I had the Red one, and sold it. I have regretted that move . . . the Blue is nice; cool look; distinctive . . . very difficult to say which I really refer, in my heart of hearts.

For the vintage Heuer collector, the Red Silverstone is a unique watch. If you want to wear crazy blue chrono on a given day, Heuer offers the Monaco, Montreal or 5100-powered Cortina, among others. But if you want to wear something in the Ruby Red category, the Silverstone is unique. All else being equal, if I had to choose one / own one (Red / Blue / Fume), I am leaning toward the red one . . . isn't that sad.

: Hi Darren, Jeff and all others

: Here is my new arrival - also a Silverstone, this one Red. So that
: is two Blue and one Red Silverstone in this tread.

: I sold my Blue one to Darren because my budget could not accept two
: Silverstones. The Blue was the most expensive and had to go.

: The Red came from France and a very recent TAG Heuer service with
: new pushers, crown, crystal and relume. But the first time I
: activated the chrono it started, but could not be stopped again.
: Of it went to TAG Heuer Denmark who found that a screw had come
: loose. Not very impressive, just weeks after a full service!

: The Red is not as sporty as the Blue, but the Red and the polished
: steel goes very well together and gives great presence on your
: wrist. I think I will stick to this one.

: Here is another resent arrival. Last Friday I fell in love with
: this 1974 Speedmaster ca. 861, so my budget is again stretched
: to the limit.
