Re: Amazing to See 17 Freid Eggs . . .

yes sounds like a very valid explaination. In due time I hope to get the two missing ones. Yes I also do miss some manuals but for now I am only having the yachting as manual one (thangs again jeff for sniping this for me :-) Interesting they made a yachting one also with a white bezel and red and blue. like the co-pilot ones. I missind on this one but amazing to see that in the transition fromk the 60s to the 70s design they changed design about 3 times to end up with the 7661 and 7662.

Spare part did became extemely scarce and I am happy to have bunkered a lot of them: I own 6 more, MINT bezels and many more scratched ones...however they will get more expensive.

Also nice to know the bezel of the new navitimer does fit from size. Its hard to see, but the design is completelly different...

So finally I ende p with 3 GMT'S and I am still not sure whether I should have sold my two others...Jeff ....this one is under the top5 watches I would keep whatever comes up...along with the auto yachting.

cheers
alex

: wow . . . a stunning collection!!

: amazing to see this gathering of fried eggs. we usually see them in
: boxes of 12 . . . to see 17 of them is amazing!!

: maybe cal 15 was never used for the Navitimer as this watch was
: serious tool for the pilots. to allow only 30 minute timing for
: this important task might have seemed like a poor compromise.
: also, maybe they thought that the pilots could afford the best
: watches, so no need for the cheaper version.
