For what it's worth, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Swiss watch exports are down 5% for October and 18% for November. All markets are soft including the Asian markets, which have historically been "recession proof" for the Swiss.

So, if exports are 20% in the two months pror to Christmas, then yes I beleive that the economy will hurt the sales of this watch.
