Let's begin 2009 with the continuation of our discussion of the Grey Monacos. My research is not yet complete, but let me suggest -- for the purpose of our continuing discussion -- that there are five models / version of the Grey Monaco, as shown below. These five versions are as follows:
- Reference 1133 G -- dark grey dial [top left, in the compilation shown below]]
- Reference 1133 G -- light grey dial with contrasting black registers [top right]
- Reference 73633 G -- dark grey dial [middle left]
- Reference 73633 G -- light grey dial with contrasting black registers [middle right]
- Reference 74033 G -- light grey dial with contrasting black registers [bottom]
Subject to confirmation, I believe that in each instance, the "dark grey" (shown on the left) was the earlier version, with the light grey / black (contrasting registers) coming later. I also point out that the dark grey is very dark, and some might call it "black" or "charcoal".
So who agrees or disagrees? Who can provide additional photos of these grey Monacos or maybe even additional models or versions? Who has additional information about these awesome chronos?
