: Hi again Juan.
: Congratulations and welcome to the Heuer club!
: If it's the same watch we were talking about before, it's an 1153 N
: - the 1553 has a small permanent seconds register at 10 o'clock
: instead of the 12 hour register at 9 o'clock the 1153 has, and
: uses the Calibre 15 movement instead of the 11/12 (the first two
: numbers in these codes denominate which movement is used,
: although Cal 12s confusingly stuck with the '11xx' codes).
: Coincidentally, I've just taken off an 1153 N myself to sit down
: at the keyboard - it's a good choice to start a collection with
: (did we warn you that this might only be the start of a growing
: collection?!).
: The model reference number is (lightly) engraved between the bottom
: lugs - if you move the strap so it hangs down, you should see it
: on the small lip on the case. You might need a good light source
: and/or a loupe to be able to read it if the case has wear, as
: the engraving really can be quite faint. Only the numeric code
: is engraved - the "N" indicates the darker dial
: version (originally "N" for "noir", but the
: early dials for 1153 Ns are catalogued as "charcoal
: grey" rather than black).
: The serial number for the watch is in the same place between the
: top lugs (should be six numbers).
: Enjoy the watch!
: Mark
