I received a beaten up big Heuer early quartz diver (980.006) just
: before the holidays. It was not running and looked a little
: tired. The plan was to get it runnning and pimp it up with
: custom hands from MKII watches.

: The crystal was bad scratched, and the bezel was stuck, it had
: loads of dirt inside.

: After some TLC the movement was running again :-) Then I put on the
: new custom hands, and a new crystal.... and I had a new very
: cool beater. This early Heuer divers are very nice watches. They
: are big, about same size as a Autavia 1163.
