So . . . the bezel is anodized as I feared!

Thanks for this post, Ludovic. You have confirmed my fear that the bezel on the 2446C GMT is anodized on top instead of using an insert. As you point out, this makes refurbing the original bezel very troublesome and expensive. While it's possible that someone could manufacture a thin insert/inlay that would be adhered over the top of the existing bezel, that would appear to be a non-elegant solution, too since it would have to ber very, very thin. Any other ideas from anyone else? Arno or Alex?
