WILLI KAUHSEN s PORSCHE 917 & HEUER MONACO and AUTAVIA PICs

Hi Heuer and race Lovers...

heres the next famous german Racedriver on Porsche 917 - 908 Syder and le Mans film set stuntdriver ! WILLI KAUHSEN!

please have a look at his history on wikipedia http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willi_Kauhsen

Willi Kauhsen and Jasper Bitter with Arnos Book, he likes it very much, but missed his MONACO inside, so i offered him to visit his Porsche Team Workshop and take a view on his heuer watches

Today i was their and willi presented me 2 of his heuers for a service job !!

But how did willi get to Heuer and how did that big heuer sticker came as ad on his Porsche 917 / 10 !!!???; Heres Willi Kauhsen personally story:

As Willi Kauhsen was a very good friend of Jo Siffert and also under contract by Porsche Stuttgart , in september 1971 tie, jo and he made a deal for willi to buy Jo Sifferts Porsche 917-10 ( chasis No oo2 ) Syder in red colour ( because Jo Siffert should drive in the next season allready on the new modified porsche 917) so he could also drive in the CanAm- series. Willi only had Bosch as main car-sponsor and asked seppi to help him with other sponsors to finance the series. So seppi spoke to Jack Heuer about the very talented german racedriver willi kauhsen..... But then Seppi died on the 21.oct. 1971 in Brands hatch. At his funeral in Fribourg willi spoke to Mrs Siffert about the deal and finally got the car that was promised him by seppi for only 150.000 D-marks!!

Then in the beginning of the race season 1972 willi got the new prototyp Porsche 917-10 2 version from the factory race team that was build formally for jo siffert. He contacted in memory to seppi , the heuer and iwc branch office of heuer germany , Mr. Gert RĂ¼diger Lang ( today owner of chronoswiss) and former ceo for heuer in germany. A few days later Jack Heuer rung up willi kauhsen at home and offered him a sponsoring deal over 3 years with Heuer stickers on his race cars in value of 30.000 D-marks--15.000 cash and the over half -15.000 in heuer and iwc watches!! So willi made the deal and you see the sticker on the side of the Porsche in the next Fotos.....
