Gianvittorio Suggests Adamowicz . . . Sorry, Tony DNS

Over on the International Vintage Heuer Owners Club Forum -- http://www.vintageheuer.net/index.php/forum/topic?id=174 -- Gianvittorio suggests that the driver was Adamowicz.

Sorry, Gianvittorio, Tony Adamowicz did not start that day.

: OK, here is everything you need, to figure out what's in the
: box, shown in the photo below: Born sometime before 1958
: Memorial Day 1966 -- made the field, but not the first lap
: Better luck there in 1968, representing the City of Seattle
: Retired from competition in 73, with 74 finishing 18th behind
: Redman, Donahue and Scheckter
: To win the contest, you will need to answer the following three
: questions: What are the timepieces (make and model)? Who was
: the previous owner of the timepieces? Which driver was being
: timed in the “retirement” race and what make, model and and
: color was his car?

: Two pounds of M&Ms -- plain or peanut -- to the first person to
: answer all three questions correctly. Post your requests for
: more clues, or maybe even the correct answers. In the days
: before Google, this would have been a tough contest. With
: Google, I don't know whether people will be able to figure this
: out in ten minutes (or maybe it will take ten days).

: Good luck!!
