Yes those were the days of cheap watches. At one time I figured dash mount Heuers averaged $565 a piece. As you know for me it was never about the watches but rather the watches as equipment on the dash of the 1964-1967 Monte Carlo Rallye winning Mini Coopers. If you are still keeping track the watches are on their way to Japan.

: eBay. Scott might take a turn, buying a Super Autavia for $800,
: and then the next time around, I would get to buy the Rally
: Master pair for $1,200 . . . there was no reason to drive up the
: prices by bidding against each other!! Autavia chronographs were
: abundant in the $300 to $400 range; $1,200 to $1,800 got you a
: nice Monaco . . . Unfortunately, it took me a while to go from
: the dashboard guys to the chronographs, but it was good fun back
: when eBay had more sellers than buyers for these old Heuers.
