In Response To: Camaro redial part 2 ()

Comprehensive!

As i always say it's the script that gives the dials away. If it's wrong there is almost no point in looking at further items on the agenda!

Hope you are well and that you are taking good care of that Transitional 1133b :-)

Cheers

Rich

: Back in May 2009 I posted the message below under the heading
: "Redial – Find 10 faults!". It was about a awful
: redial done on a Camaro dial.

: I naturally returned the dial and after more than 6 month I got it
: back looking a lot better but still not right.

: Some of the faults were:
: 1 - Letters for CAMARO not right - Better but not the right
: script

: 2 - Heuer logo to big - Think it is about right
: 3 - No SWISS T - Still not
: 4 - No luminous dots - OK
: 5 - No circular lines on small registers - They are there now,
: but to coarse

: 6 - TACHYMETRE in stead of TACHYMETER - OK
: 7 - Numbers on registers in wrong position - A lot better
: 8 - Lines and numbers are generally to “fat” - Better but
: still to "fat"

: 9 - Lines on registers is wrong length - OK

: Conclusion - DON'T REDIAL

: If any of you can use it I will part with it for what I paid ($
: 300). If not I will just keep it for the story.

: Here is a not so good picture of the second redial:

ORIGINAL POST

: Here is the result of my first redial - and the only I will ever
: make!
: I had my Camaro dial send to the renowned company Richard Bethge
: GmbH in Germany believing that they could make my watch look
: like new. The paint on the dial was peeling.

: This is the dial before:
:
:

: - and when it came back:
:
:

: I found these faults, but there are proberly more:
: 1 - Letters for CAMARO not right
: 2 - Heuer logo to big
: 3 - No SWISS T
: 4 - No luminous dots
: 5 - No circular lines on small registers
: 6 - TACHYMETRE in stead of TACHYMETER
: 7 - Numbers on registers in wrong position
: 8 - Lines and numbers are generally to “fat”
: 9 - Lines on registers is wrong length

: I was lucky to find a NOS white Camaro dial, so the watch is OK. I
: part exchanged it for my beloved Autavia 3646 with Pär.
