Re: Q's regarding Monaco 90's Re-issue dial...

David, I guess what you are saying is that you wonder if this reissue limited edition 'Heuer' dial will be a straight swap onto a regular TAG Heuer sheilded modern Monaco.
Unfortunately, I don't know, and I'd guess that no one does - it will be a case of trial and error. I'm sure that you are not the first person to think along these lines, and I presume that the reason this dial hasn't sold is that it probably wont work. That's just a guess, as I say, I don't know.

To be honest, if you want a re-issue LE Heuer, why not go for the grey dialled version, that can be had for well under £2.7k these days. Yes, it is more expensive than a TH dialled Monaco + a LE dial combo, but you'll probably enjoy it more than a hybrid.

: Hi All,

: came across this 'vintage' styled Monaco dial on eBay:

: Unable to find much answers, this would be the best place to turn
: to. So my questions would be:
: - is this a genuine TAG Heuer dial?
: - the '12' hour marker above the Monaco/Shield is missing it's red
: stripe (rather unusual IMO), but would this be correct?
: - as this is being sold as a damaged item, how easy would flaw on
: the dial be to mask?

: Hoping someone would have some answers - wouldn't mind making a
: 'customised' one off as I may be in possession of a re-issue
: that is in need of TLC. Any help would be appreciated!
