Fascinating to See This One

WOW . . . we have been at it for a long time now, and I have never seen this watch . . . or anything with this logo on the dial. I do seem to recall seeing watches with the Valjoux name on the dial, but not the Valjoux logo.

We can only guess how this one came to be produced. Could Valjoux have requested that Heuer produce some completed watches for Valjoux, to use as salesman demos? [But why no Valjoux markings on the movement? And why the different (longer) markers?] Could Valjoux have bought some surplus parts from Heuer, and produced this one?

I have no answers to these questions, but can only thank you for posting this very interesting and unusual watch. Of course, the white-on-black Carrera is one of the most prized by collectors.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hello all especially Mark,

I got this nice watch recently. As you can see from the pictures this is definitely not a Carrera but the case is marked 2447 between the lugs beneath the 6 and 104xxx above the 12. It looks like HEUER-LEONIDAS SA has been machined away from the inside of the case back. The movement is an unsigned R726. The nice unsigned black and white dial has only what I think the logo of Valjoux/ETA on it. Hands look similar to the Carrera. Any Information and comments on this watch is much appreciated.

Thanks.
Regards,
Amran
