Hi all -

First post here and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice.
I was given this watch back in the 80's. Wore it a couple of times at which
point it was relegated to the back of my sock drawer. Pulled it out a couple of
years ago and it is not working as it seems some moisture had crept in. Also
noticed that one of the push button assemblies is damaged. See pic.

Long story short, sent it to be repaired and they are quoting $1800+ to fix and
overhaul it. Seems high to me. Please respond if you have any comments good or bad.

Complete mechanical restoration - Disassemble watch, clean all moving parts with specialized cleaning solvents, lubricate internal components with high grade oil, time test for 48 - 72 hours.
