I have to mirror what the other replies have said. An Autavia would make a good daily wearer. I have quite a few, and wear an Autavia most days. The price you quoted is (from a UK & EU point of view) is very good. Yes, the Viceroy is the most common Autavia, but it's still a beautiful and desirable watch, especially if it's a good one. It's value is not *that* diminished because of this, it's akin to comparing a straight Submariner to a more rare sports Rolex.

It's a great watch, and very cool with it. If you are worried about water resistance, get a basic pressure test, just so you don't have to worry when it rains - that's no joke, I wish I had a local pressure tester, I do get worried when it really pi$$es down with rain!
