Updated (Again): Registry of Early Autavias

More samples and a tighter range of serial numbers . . . great progress today!!

Have a look at the Registry, and you will see a very nice distribution of the serial numbers -- http://www.onthedash.com/docs/AutaviaRegistry.html

Based on the bands of the serial numbers, can we imagine that Heuer made approximately 2,000 of these watches (1,138 in the first band and 821 in the second band) and that we are seeing an approximately two percent survival rate (around 40 samples), at least in terms of those that are visible to our community? Yes, there are 21 in the Registry, but I would say that we have seen at least twice this quantity. What do other readers / experts suggest?
