Re: Exotic Autavia 1563 rescued
In Response To: Exotic Autavia 1563 rescued ()

Hi Darren,

: Well done Mick & naturally well done Abel !

Thanks for your compliments.

: I think this is a watch you could be very happy wearing. Yes its
: aged and faded but i like the soft tone of the colours on the
: dial. There's charactor and history there - remember these are
: VINTAGE watches !
: We have seen a few of mint exotic's come up in the past few years ,
: perhaps we have become accustomed to seeing them in this state
: now. Personally i am happy to see one with some life behind it
: so we know they were sold and used by the public.

The few mint pieces we saw always looked kind of wrong or put-together to me and others. Although nowadays nobody will question this execution of the Autavia, in my eyes the faded condition of my watch adds authenticity -- contrary to the wrong bezel which was forced onto the case.

Cheers,

Mick
