Re: Thanks to Seller; Good Benefit to Your Reputation

Well to be fair, the strongest offer after the sale was not a direct "I will pay more if you sell my way" kind of thing. The buyer said it was worth more than I sold it for and if I came upon another example of the piece, please let him know. I told him I would be glad to offer the chance for quick profit to the original buyer, but that the watch was his now. If he wanted the quick flip, so be it. His deal was never in jeopardy...and the other buyer was never trying to coerce me into not selling to my original buyer. He was just taking a flyer that the profit in it was there if the buyer was inclined.

That said, there was more than one person trying to see if the deal fell through, if I was open to a higher offer, etc. I knew when it sold in a flash that I goofed up. But hey...like you said, Jeff...Karma comes around in a hurry!!

: Thanks to the Seller, for honoring the original deal and also
: for posting your message here.

: Whatever money you may have "left on the table" is a good
: investment in your reputation, and you will certainly have the
: support of this community in your future endeavors. Plus there
: is the karma!!

: Truly awful that others would attempt to interfere with the
: original transaction. "Tortious interference" is
: actionable here in the US of A, and people in the watch world
: should not let their greed overcome what they know to be basic
: ethical rules.

: Jeff
