Not too surprised

The 1st execution Autavia have been undervalued for some time imo.
Beautiful watch, origins of named Heuer chronos and compared to other grail watches of this period from other brands they look a great buy. In the "pecking order" I'd see them on level pegging with a 1133b std production. Very few have changed hands in past 12 months but I know people are actively seeking them and several large offers have been flying around in the past 3-4 months to try and acquire one from private collectors.

: I spotted it 3-4 hrs ago, and then saw the USD2-3k expected price..
: My heart skipped a (massive) beat, and I frantically tried to
: register for the auction, all sweaty palms! But I couldn't, as
: registration had closed. I fired off a desparate email to the
: admin people, and was sent an absentee bid form. But I didn't go
: through with it, as I would have to pay 20% VAT to get it to the
: UK, and the 25% buyers fee, then shipping etc.

: I was dreading someone coming on here and saying that it went for
: $2k, and I'd be kicking myself/headbutting the wall.

: So, $20k, plus $5k buyers fee.. 25k wow, that's nuts, seriously
: nuts.
: Achingly beautiful watch though.
