18K carrera chronograph

Hi all. I have not been around for awhile. Still trying to figure out what to do with my solid 18K carrera. 1158 between the lugs. Cal 12 automatic movement, with crown on left
and pushers on right.
I never see this thing anywhere and am wondering what the group's thoughts are on whether to sell it or stock it away. I am not a big gold watch guy. Is it worth saving, or should I look to invest/trade in a vintage autavia or something similar?
Thanks in advance....
