welcome back to the forum!! I actually do remember this Carrera and your situation.

There have been a couple of these listed on ebay and other sites over the past year or so, but they did not fetch the kind of money that you might expect. The solid gold still seems to be something of a "white elephant" in these Heuers -- maybe people want to invest in the gold for a dress watch, but not for a sports watch?

my advice -- sell the thing and buy one that you will actually enjoy wearing. as an "investment", it may be OK, but probably not worth tying up money that could give you the same investment return, and some pleasure from wearing it.
