It's nice to offer some variety in the heritage line-up, and this one does have a different look. The two-registers, with the date at six o'clock, and the deletion of the running seconds register, is a nice way to evoke the original Viceroy, and adds some variety to the line-up.

That said, the Hour bezel just does not look right on this watch . . . needs to be the Tachymeter (which we know TAG Heuer has available) or Minutes / Hours (which does not yet exist for the new Autavias). Also, I would like to see the main time of day hands "in the metal". . . something about them just appears to be a little "off".

There are several good choices among the heritage-based Heuers right now (Autavia / Carrera / Monza), and we can expect more to come, in the near term. This homage to the Viceroy will not be at the top of my personal list.
