2500A has all the problems, 2500B has had some issues like it does not self start very minor one but a problem. 2500C is the 3.5htz which as you say has the slower speed but with the solwer speed the left angle of the escapement has increased which means more drag. Still have to oil all 3 versions. But I think you are right not many owner complants more service people complants. I like B and C the watch that I had was a 2628A which is the 2500b with GMT was great after 36 hours still held its amp's and the time keeping was also still spot on
