Re: Sam . . . Would This Fit Into Your Collection ? ? ?

: I visited Greg earlier today, at Tourneau, and he showed me this
: Speedmaster. Pretty cool looking, if you want to see just how
: black a dial can look (and how it makes the other Speedy dials
: look like a dull gray or charcoal).

: I am wondering how it might fit into your collection? I am sure
: that it would easily fit into the budget!!

: If you like black enamel dials, then maybe you "need"
: this one!! Have you seen it? Any reactions to share? I saw
: discussions another forum about whether this is the next
: "Grail". Is it bad when companies are seeking to
: produce the "Grails"?

: So many questions / so little time!!

I assume this is the new 42mm Speedy with the 3300 movement Chuck "loved", as opposed to the $10,000 50th anniversary enamel (what were they thinking?!). I haven't been by in a while and haven't seen it or caught the MSRP (although it was published some time ago).

It could be a acquisition, but I'll have to see it. I think at 42mm it would be my largest watch. . .
