existential crisis / advice needed Posted By: Jeff Stein a few days ago, I received my first Speedmaster, and I have worn it ever since. That can happen... so this morning, I switched back to an Autavia, Ref 1163MH, and it feels "clunky" and "top-heavy". That can happen too! any suggestions? Yes, as others have pointed out, you went from a relatively slim manual wind sans-diver's bezel chronograph to a notably thicker automatic with calendar model with diver's bezel. All of those features contribute to the "clunky" "top-heavy" feel. I suspect you'd experience simiar feelings switching from an Autavia 12 to a 1163...
You might want to ease into the larger models by switching from the Speedy to an Autavia 12 for a day or two before going to the 1163... Jeff Cheers and Good Hunting! |
