Great pic Par.
That is a good looking watch. I agree that your watch looks very very similar to the Sheene picture. The dark tachy ring and registers plus the shape make the comparison strong. Given the lack of high resolution I think you have solved the question. Congratulations.
Now we can refer to the "Sheene" Certina as a special variant.
David Damn! So that's what mine is suppose to look like! My example, bought off of eBay via a Buy It Now (within 15 minutes of it being listed at $175) from the UK, is missing it's under crystal bezel...
I don't have any pictures at hand of my example, but I'll try to take/post some tomorrow. In the mean time, you'll have to be satisfied with some seller snaps of my Certina Chronolympic Automatic (v. 7750 base) I bought off of eBay from Hong Kong about a month ago...
Which, needless to say, has received a lot of wrist time since it's arrival.
I love the strap Pär has on his Chronolympic. Does anyone have ideas as to where I can find an appropriate under-crystal bezel?
An aside (and observation)... Along with Gallet, Certina has to be one of the more overlooked brands from the 1960's and 1970's... Aren't these great watches?
