I too wished for one of these and figured I would wait till the prices dropped llike it did for the 1964 re-issue Carreras. Two years ago there were few to be found on the internet and most sellers wanted list price and above.

I was at the Copley Alpha Omega store in Boston in the spring of 2005 and saw one on display but didn't ask the price as I thought it would be list at least. A year later in the spring of 2006 I was at the flagship Alpha Omega store and saw the watch again. This time I was very pleasantly surprised when quoted a price of just under $2000 so I quickly bought it.

Since then I have seen two sold on ebay for list and slightly above. All I can advise is to be patient and hope for a good one to appear. The link below is to a recent post here on OTD
