Well, the general view is that original is better. However, I think that Tag has on the whole done a great job with the re-issues (except for churning out "limited edition" Monaco's by the boatload).

The first Carrera re-edition with the Lemania movement is a great watch and feels in no way "fake".

Anyway, I wouldn't worry about fake/ re-issue/ original/ etc- just buy the one you like
