My oversight as I meant that the picture was of a real re-issue Carrera or perhaps better called a genuine re-issue Carrera.

It is interesting that the Franken makers have now targeted the re-issue Carrera rather than the original which are worth much more.

I suspect that the Replica/Fake makers are seeking to sell to folks interested in buying a modern new watch, but are either scared off by the price, or frankly... Just cheap.

I further suspect that Franken sellers are trying to package odd lots into something that they can sell or make profit out of. Some may know what they are doing and don't care while others are well aware they are selling mismatched goods. I'm sure some see their own efforts as laudable. We have our own opinions though.
