the catalogs suggest that the Monza was introdcued in 1977 / 1978.

the story goes that at first this chronograph was called the "Modena" . . . Heuer changed the name to "Monza" (a) because "Monza" had better name recognition in the racing world, or (b) to celebrate Ferrari world championship, clinched at the Monza track.

whatever the reason for the name selection, we can be certain that Heuer first used the Monza name for its chronographs in the 1970's, not the 1930's.
