A Non-Euro Reaction

it's all a matter of personal taste and preferences, but I am curious about the appeal of putting the usual elements (hands and date) in such weird places. The one on the right is fairly conventional (three hands on a center pinion, date at the bottom and moon over to the side), but why do they have the power reserve indicator dominate the dial?? I mean, how often do you need to check this particular gauge? The watch on the left would give me a headache -- why put everything off-center? I mean, why even make the case round, if every element is to be out-of-round?

I know that these are very fine watches, with many dedicated followers of the brand, but the designs just do not appeal to me. of course, some might say the same about our beloved Monacos and Carreras!!

enjoy the watches!!

: and more specificaly the folks from Germany.

: Hi all,
: I recently became interested in the Glashutte
: Original brand. This is one of only a couple
: brands that are entirely made in Germany and
: it appears that most pieces are also sold
: there. All of my research has lead me to
: believe that these are exceptionally fine
: watches selling at a comparable price to
: many lesser brands. So in true American
: fashion I went out and bought two of them.

: I'd really like some feedback from our European
: friends on how the GO brand is perceived and
: marketed in you countries.

: Thanks,
: Mike
