Heuer Leonidis Stop watch Posted By: Mark lapham Date: 3/14/06 02:09 GMT

Hi there,

I was wondering if you would be as kind as to help me to help my parents, They are selling a Heuer Leonidis Stop watch which was bought in 1971 still boxed (even with receipt I think) This stop watch is brand spanking new it looks like it has never even been touched let alone used.

The thing is that they have no idea of its value, just looking at it you can tell that it is a quality item so how much would you say that it is worth selling for, it has been in our family since new. Thank you for taking time to read this,

M@rk Lapham.

Hello Mark,

The problem is that it's really difficult to give you a specific value or even a range with so little to go on... Heuer-Leonidas made dozens if not hundreds of different models, and each would have it's own range.

The other thing is that for the most part, save for pocket watches with chronographs and dashboard timers (oh, and Split-Second or Rattrapante models), most stopwatches find it very difficult to break much higher than about $100 unless there is something special or unique about it.

Hope this is at least a little bit helpful!
