When to service my Carrera Re-edition?

Hi all,

I have a Heuer Carrera Re-edition (Lemania 1873) which I bought new about 1 year ago. I note these were made from 1998. I was wondering when the best time for me to service the watch would be? I've heard that 3-5 years is a good time. I suppose the watch must be at least 3 years now as it's not really a recent model is it? Also, I've noticed that it runs about 5mins fast after about 2 weeks despite me going through the routine of finding the best position to place the watch when I'm not wearing it to keep the timing tight. Is this a sign that the watch may need a thorough service?

Thanks in advance.

Steve
