I have a history of liking the brassed effect Stewart, once even threatening to polish all the remaining PVD off Darren Cal 11/12's Monza:

:)
I vaguely remember having either a plated or lacquered base metal watch waaaaay back in the day; the first one I remember having, when my age was still in single figures; and I think my attraction to watches with heavy brassing stems back to then. Went through a digital phase for a while after that, which was commonplace for 80s teenagers I reckon, then dallied with Swatches for a while (including a quite nice "panda" Chrono in aluminium case) before finding my way back to mechanicals. I'm also fond of unusual case materials in general, so that helps too.
