Looks to me like both yours and Baboon's examples have just been polished out for some reason Eric. The flat area on the caseback is normally a little less wide.
Frankly, I'd be less worried about a watch where the issue markings were polished out than ones where they have been added later - the fakes I have seen have typically had Bund markings. Including one with, believe it or not, a spelling mistake!
