Re: Vintage Heuer Monaco ref. 73633B

Hello David,

Thank you for your input and all your time taken to help a fellow watch collector!

Alright heres the comments I got for your observation:

the CO in Monaco is WAY off
-I always thought that the 73633 always has the "CO" in the word Monaco rather "squeezed"? Correct me if I am wrong

the 1/5 minute markers are so inconsistant in application/paint
-The color is due to the picture and angle of the camera and crystal too. :-)

the 'pointy top' 4s
-It has a flat top 4, just that the picture didn't show up nicely due to resolution prob...

the hands/lume color
-I agree that the hands looks suspicious to me...

missing applied markers/ flaky lume on dial
-Missing applied markers seems to be the correct one for this blue dial blue register version. Flaking lume looks good to me as it looks correctly aged.

missing paint on perimeter of dial/ lack of crystal gasket
-Woah! What observation!!! I do believed that the missing "paint" you mentioned was due to the crsytal/camera angle and for the lack of crystal gasket, how can you really tell? Does the crystal needs to be black at the edge to prove the gasket? Some heads up will be great!

No meaning to rain on the parade Jack, just my view of the watch.
- Sure! I couldn't appreciate more that someone is willing to help with this!

I was just thinking, is there anyone with this Blue register with blue dial 73633B? Care to show us a picture?

Thanks!

Best Rgds,
Jack W
