I am also shocked that I have arrived in this position, after so many years of nothing other than mechanical chronographs. Still, sometimes it may be healthy to shock ourselves, and allow our interests to go in new and different directions.

Beyond the shock, there is the admiration of a machine that can track the time to within five seconds per year, and do this for five years on a single battery, and also keep track of the date for 100 years.

It's not the most beautiful design ever, but it is one hell of a piece of technology!! and it's nice to be able to pick up a watch that never needs to be set or adjusted!!
