Minimum dial runs...

So are we saying the minimum dial run that Jack Heuer spoke of recently (approx 100) does not apply on these Carreras?

I'd have thought they would at least have produced some dials to be replaced at service. Either way whether its 20 or 100 they are clearly VERY limited and desirable.

Interesting subject...

: The AP looks very impressive, I guess the black Indy you are
: showing is my watch ;-))
: I have not come across a second black dialled Indy, any out there ?
: Also I have never seen any spare dials in metal ? Prior 2004 I
: have only encountered 4 Indys, two were owned by an american
: collector, one was sold through ebay in 2003 and came from
: indianapolis. Especially rare the date at 12 version, which was
: anyhow only produced for a very limited time period around
: 66/67. I have so far seen only two date at 12 Indys and have
: never heard of any sole dials. The dial has a quite unique
: feature as it is missing the concentric ridges on the subdials.
: I think it is also a question of matching patina between hands
: and original luminous. Heuer was timekeeper in Sebring and for
: advertisment purposes also wanted to do the Indy race. As far as
: I know from Jack Heuer all these logo dials were very limited
: and only produced in small batches and given to main sponsors
: and vip people including drivers.
: Beside the Indy I have so far seen two MG watches with a name on
: the dial. Two arcolas which I have learned was a dragster race
: strip in the US, any more Info very much appreciated. Two
: Shelbys one owned by an american collector before and a second
: one back in 2002 which was sold on ebay however I have lost
: track of this one. There was also a Sebring Carrera to celebrate
: time keeping event at Sebring. Very good research Eyal !!...
: Cheers
