Congratulations on bringing this one into the "family", where it belongs!!

I exchanged e-mails with the seller in two rounds -- once when he was asking $15K and again after he dropped the price into the $8K range. At first, I really wanted this watch, but could not get comfortable with the seller. Over time, I got comfortable with the seller (realizing that he was difficult in these sorts of things), but lost interest in the watch, at the kind of price we were discussing. The irony here is that if he had been friendly and supportive, I might have bought the watch, once we got into the realistic price range.

I am happy that you had the stomach to deal with the seller, and the reward seems to have been a fantastic, rare watch. On behalf of our little community, thanks for bringing this one home!!

: of course it's not NOS (and to give the seller credit was never
: really described as such) as it has been worn a few times and
: shows minute signs of this.

: However, I would be as bold to suggest it is mint. Everything feels
: very tight and it has a feel to it like no other manual Monaco
: I've had my hands on.

: So to cut a long story short I'm very pleased with it and its'
: currently on my wrist!
