Haslinger Collection: NYC Preview; An Amazing Nine Hours

All:

I have just spent an amazing nine hours in New York City, seeing the Haslinger Collection at Bonhams, meeting friends from this forum, and catching up with some friends at TAG-Heuer. It was absolutely fantastic, from beginning to end, the watches, the friends, the stories, the scene, etc.

Sometimes I wonder why we spend so much time on these watches -- studying them, chasing them, admiring them, photographing them, telling their stories, etc. I mean, in the end, they are just watches . . . just things. But a day like today gives me a new appreciation of this hobby; as we spend time on the watches, we are spending time with friends, usually online but on some special cases, in person.

It was an awesome day . . . I know that many of us will be writing about it over the next few weeks . . . just this quick note to start this thread, as a rallying point, and to say thanks to all who were a part of this wonderful day.
