Re: Haslinger Collection: NYC Preview; An Amazing Nine Hour

Friends:

It was truly an amazing evening. The watch collection, as it has been said many times, is breathtaking. But it was even more exciting meeting in person many friends we have been that so far only 'virtually' in contact. Special thanks go to Jeff, David, Scott, Arno, Paul, Ben and all the beautiful persons that were there and that I had the opportunity to share some of the watch passion with. I wish I will make it to London on Dec15 to meet the rest of 'us'.

Cheers,
Francesco

: All:

: I have just spent an amazing nine hours in New York City, seeing
: the Haslinger Collection at Bonhams, meeting friends from this
: forum, and catching up with some friends at TAG-Heuer. It was
: absolutely fantastic, from beginning to end, the watches, the
: friends, the stories, the scene, etc.

: Sometimes I wonder why we spend so much time on these watches --
: studying them, chasing them, admiring them, photographing them,
: telling their stories, etc. I mean, in the end, they are just
: watches . . . just things. But a day like today gives me a new
: appreciation of this hobby; as we spend time on the watches, we
: are spending time with friends, usually online but on some
: special cases, in person.

: It was an awesome day . . . I know that many of us will be writing
: about it over the next few weeks . . . just this quick note to
: start this thread, as a rallying point, and to say thanks to all
: who were a part of this wonderful day.
