We all surmised before the auction that we'd start seeing references to it and you weren't the first to do so and I'm absolutely sure you won't be the last either! And for me at least, it's more palatable coming from someone like yourself who has handled Heuers before than someone discovering them only as a result of the auction.

It's very true that Carreras are getting scarcer; I miss the times when you could have your pick regularly of fresh examples, for under $1000 let alone $2000 but that's a long time ago now. Lots of the good ones are finding collectors and sticking in those collections - I can understand why you'd keep that one yourself rather than let it go for a song.
