Re: Welcome, Philippe!!
In Response To: Welcome, Philippe!! ()

I have shown this to my lawyer who was with me for coffee just now, he did not see the fair point ?
Using some auction results for a in many aspects different watch to make some extra bucks is fair and gentleman behavour ?
There are some distinctive wrights to a brand somebody has built with lots of efforts (money and time !!) !!

: Welcome, Philippe!!

: You will find that our community welcomes the participation of
: dealers in our forum, and we are particularly supportive of the
: dealers who have the good eye for the Heuers!! Over the last
: couple of years, you seem to have developed a good appreciation
: for the "Big Three" of the Heuers -- Autavia, Carrera
: and Monaco -- and you have found and offered some great ones,
: including the very best Chronomatic Siffert that we have ever
: seen. The good dealers provide an important service to the
: community, and this forum is a natural place for them to engage
: in dialog with the collectors.

: Personally, I feel that your reference to the result of the
: Haslinger Auction was a fair and reasonable strategy, for an
: eBay seller to take. Yes, the gentleman selling the average
: Jaguar E-Type or Porsche 914 may point to the 100 point car,
: with some factory racing history, that was just sold for a huge
: price at the Monterey Auction; so long as he is accurate in
: describing what he is selling, it seems OK to me. We have a
: heirarchy of values between the different models and executions,
: and the Haslinger Auction confirmed some of the heirarchy
: (manual-wind Carreras above the automatics) and also shifted the
: heirarchy in some respects (look at the Monzas and
: Silverstones). I will be publishing a lot more about this, soon.
