Re: Exclusive indeed. Am I the only one .....

... who is excited by these discoveries? Maybe so as I have the same models in my collection albeit with no military markings and therefore have a vested interest. Nevertheless these are important new discoveries (for me at least) and very exciting to see at a time when we very rarely see anything vintage Heuer related that has not been seen or discussed before.

What we have been shown here is a so called "Shauntavia" dial Autavia with automatic movement in a 11063 case with MH bezel. In addition to that we have the Kenyan Air Force marking on the backcase and enough battle scars to suggest it has been in a "hot" climate and very well used. This is the first time I have seen one of these and I am guessing the only known sample. That’s exciting.

A couple of days ago Mr Brevetplus presented the two other Autavia's with Arabic numeral dials both with KAF markings. And finally, three weeks ago we saw a three register version KAF sell on ebay. Is it strange that four KAF signed rare dial Autavia’s come to light is such a short space of time? I am sure there is some link somewhere but regardless of that I am not sceptical just intrigued and pleased for Mr Brevetplus for landing these rare watches. Hopefully we will hear from others who have something to add or just share my interest in these discoveries and possibly Mr B will enlighten us on the provenance of these watches so that their authenticity can be immortalised in cyberspace for ever more.

Thanks for sharing MrB

Regards
Paul
