FAO. Mark & Paul.. you were right

Mark Moss.. and Paul Gavin.. you both ground me down eventually :0)

I have shown this here before, but I thought a further 'blame game' thread was in order...
I've always admired the Carrera, but it was just too small.. I said that without trying one. You both said 'try one'.. but there was no point, I'm a later Autavia fan through n through.. I started a hunt for something Carrera-esk that was 40mm+, I found some great watches, but they weren't a Carrera. It niggled at me, so finally I caved in and bought a 3647NT from Lanny.. and my my.. it was small. Oh dear, what a nightmare - the watch was beautiful, but stupidly tiny. I was right, just to small.

I wore it, it was too small.. I wore it some more, it wasn't that small.. I wore it more & more and I got used to it. It clicked, it wasn't too small at all. I had been used to bigger watches. I was over the moon, it wasn't too small, it's just a case of getting used to it.

Anyway, I now like the fact that it isn't massive, and look forward to wearing a smaller, lighter watch. It's such a classic, and when I say that, I don't mean the particular model I've bought - I mean the Carreras in general - but I have to say the one I grabbed is superb, I really am attached to it now.

Anyway - a big thanks to Paul & Mark for finally making me see the light - and Lanny for selling it to me :0)

It can be seen here:

Thanks
