Re: Read last months issue of watchtime

Dear Mathew,

The only reason why I cared to post Dr. Odets' review on this forum is because it is based on bare FACTS, with photos further enphasizing the points, and not just opinions.

A movement without finishing work, with metal shavings falling in it or squeezed by the jewels, screws that score the base plate, and those kind of defects are absolutely unbecoming of a watch of this price, expecially when one considers this particular model comes with very few bells and whistles.

I am also a little bit alarmed by the fact this is a mass produced watch; why would this particular example be so crudely finished without the others being similarly affected?

Anyway, I would be happy (and somewhat relieved) to read the article you are referring to. If at all possible, I would encourage you to post it on this forum. I believe the discussion is worthwhile.

Thanks for your reply,

Claude
