I Just E-Mailed Maria in Customer Service...

: Our Omega Rep has always statedthat the Co-Ax
: required servicing about every 7-8 years.
: Theoretically, the service intervals for the
: Co-Ax movement are doubled compared to
: normal auto movements. Only time will tell.
: However, I have yet to see any first
: generation DeVille Co-Ax models (released
: circa 1999) come into our store for
: servicing.

We all know that Maria Mastrodonato is the best person Omega has in their customer service department, so I just e-mailed her to try to get some clarification. I know that Omega used to have the 10-year claim on their website, so I asked her point blank why this has changed. Corporate policy may prevent her from telling me the "whole truth", but I will post back here when I receive her reply.
